Ek Tha Tiger directed by Kabir Khan (New York, Kabul Express) will be Salman Khan’s first movie under the reputed Yashraj Films banner. The Ek Tha Tiger Story has been written by Aditya Chopra, who is also the producer of the film.
Co-starring Katrina Kaif, Ek Tha Tiger will be Salman’s first romantic thriller in a long time. It tells the story of a Trinity College scientist suspected of selling missile technology secrets to our neighboring country Pakistan. The Indian government sends a secret agent, codenamed Tiger (title role played by Salman Khan), to find out about the professor’s activities.
In Pakistan, Tiger falls in love with the professor’s caretaker Zoya (played by Katrina Kaif) who is studying at a fictional dance academy located at TCD. Together, they embark on a roller-coaster journey that takes them from Dublin to Istanbul, Kazakhstan and Chile.
The film will be shot at several foreign locations and is expected to release in June 2012. The music will be composed by Sohail Sen and the cinematography by Aseem Mishra.
It’s one of the many biggies lined up for release in 2012. What do you think of the Ek Tha Tiger story? Tell me in the comments section below. Will it be a anti-pak film? Or a across-the-border love story, similar to Veer Zaara?
