Ek Tha Tiger is now officially the second blockbuster of 2012. The film has absolutely shattered all box-office records – including those on the much-dreaded weekdays.

Infact, what has come as a complete surprise for the trade, is the Tuesday collections (16.31), which is higher than Thursday (14.52) and Friday (12.9) and almost as good as Saturday (16.75). These are jaw-dropping figures for working days.
The film has dropped at select high-end multiplexes by almost 50-55%, but at the mass-centres, especially the single-screens, it’s taken-off with record numbers for a working weekday.
