Salman gets new ‘kick’ in life

After Wanted and Dabangg Salman Khan is about to take his image as the action hero to yet another level.

For Kick, which is a remake of 2009's biggest action hit in Telugu, Salman will be trained by the French maestro of onscreen action Philippe Guegan. Philippe's credit for action and special effects include such international blockbusters as The Transporter, The Kiss Of The Dragon, Rush Hour 3,Taken and Hitman.

Known to be booked by topnotch Holwood for stunts months in advance producer Sajid Nadiyadwala has got Philippe Guegan to jump the queue for Salman. Nadiadwala has also persuaded Guegan to fly down to Mumbai to train Salman for stunts never seen in Hindi films.

Confirming these flash developments producer Sajid Nadiadwala says, "For Kick we needed to take the action to another level, not just for Salman but also for Indian cinema. Yes, Philippe Guegan has agreed to come down to Mumbai in September and personally train Salman."

Sajid Nadiawala's action film Kick was on hold until the producer and Salman could come to an understanding on how to take the action sequences to the next level. Initially the plan was to get Vijay, who did the stunts in the Telugu version of Kick, to do Salman's stunts in the adaptation.

However Salman felt the only way his action sequences in Kick could go beyond Wanted and Dabangg was to get someone of international calibre.
