DABANGG will appeal to multiplexes too!

Undoubtedly Salman Khan’s Eid release Dabangg is the most anticipated upcoming release of next month. The promos, be it the song or the taali-maar dialogues are getting a terrific response and the hype around the film is getting bigger and bigger. With days to come as the makers and Salman himself ups the ante we can expect some unprecedented hype resulting in a solid start for DABANGG.

However, certain sections of the trade and the know alls of film business are of the view that though the film will get an excellent returns from single screens, multiplex business especially from high end ones, is unlikely to follow suit. Citing example from Salman’s last year Eid release WANTED which was super hit in single screens and small towns, they are skeptic of DABANGG going great guns in multiplexes.

However,Sonu Sood, one of Salman’s co-star in the film has a different view. He is positive that DABANGG’s appeal will not be just limited to just single screens because of two very important factors. First as per Sonu is the wholesome entertainment that the film provides and second is director Abhinav Kashyap who is a multiplex focussed directed and is fully conversant with the likes and dislikes of multiplex thronging crowd. Sonu also points to the fact that its dialogues have been written in such a way that it makes the film different from others.

Well Sonu we are sure that DABANGG will appeal to all and Salman will get his multiplex crowd back.

  1. Dabangg will score at both SS and multiplexes because:

    1. Munni Badnaam – If there was an item song that could match Kajraare or Beedi Jalayi le, its Munni Badnaam. I can’t stop watching Malaika and when Salman jumps in, its like nothing else.

    2. Action – We haven;t see a decent action movie in quite sometime now.

    3. Story – I can see how Wanted didn’t have a story (in first half atleast), however it is famous that this movie has a proper story and the characters of Vinod, Ompuri, Dimple are more of a testament that it does have strong performances.

    4. Tere Mast Mast dou nain – Another chartbuster. Rahat Fateh ali khan’s vocals are simply awesome.

    5. Salman Khan – Ppl may write him off cuz he has done some stupid roles, but dude, he is Salman Khan, 3rd biggest star of India.

    6. The BUZZ – It has Ghajini type buzz.

    7. Release time and Solo Release. The first day might not be awesome but saturday and sunday will be a riot.
