Bajrangi Bhaijaan At 306 Crore After In 24 Days

Bajrangi Bhaijaan kept the momentum going in its fourth weeeknd with collections in the 7-7.25 crore nett range and comparitively PK grossed around 8 crore nett in its fourth weekend and that was the first time PK had faced competition from another release after three open weeks. The main difference between Bajrangi Bhaijaan and PK has been the third week where PK had an open week while Bajrangi Bhaijaan faced competition from Drishyam. There was a 13 crore nett business in difference between the two films in week three.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan has grossed 306 crore nett till date and should be around 310 crore nett at the end of the week.

The distributor share is 154.25 crore and will finish at around 157-158 crore which will be a little short of the 161 crore done by PK. The film has topped 8 crore nett in Bihar and become the first film to do so.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan grossed 1.25 crore nett on its fourt Friday as the competition around it means it is losing pace. Still the film should coume out a good weekend for a fourt week. The collections will 5 crore at a minmum. The total till date for the film is close to 300 crore nett and the finish will be around 310 crore nett.

The film should see some circuits hit all time records this week either in nett collections or distributor share. There will not be any records in Mumbai as the circuit looks at a 85 crore nett finish which is well short of the 100 crore nett plus of PK.In South also the Baahubali wave affected the film from day one.

The figures have to come out on top in the other markets for it to be an All Time Blockbsuter especially North India and its looking to just about get there. If it happens it will mean it is highest nett grosser in half of India. The best business for the film should come out in Delhi / UP even after the entertainment tax was doubled in Delhi city on day four of release though a tax free status in UP from second week cushioned that blow a little.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan All Time Third Highest Third Week

Bajrangi Bhaijaan recorded the third highest third week ever as it grossed around 29 crore nett. Only PK and 3 Idiots have done more in week three but both had open weeks while Bajrangi Bhaijaan had competition from a major release liek Drishyam. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan figures till date are as follows.

The distributor share is a huge 152 crore apprx, just 9 crore short of the 161 crore record of PK. The decent hold in week four may see the film become the biggest grosser in many circuits. Bihar and a small circuits like Assam and Orissa have already broken all records.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan had huge growth on its third Saturday as it went up around 60-65% from the day before. The first two day business of the third week of Bajrangi Bhaijaan are as follows.

The film shows exrraordinary trends on Saturday and Sunday probaby because the families come out. The business of the film is now 280 crore nett and if Sunday can grow 40-50% it may reach 300 crore nett before the end of the week.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan grossed around 9 crore nett plus on Tuesday which was similar to its figure on Monday. The second week figures of Bajrangi Bhaijaan till date are as follows.

Saturday - 19,00,00,000

Monday- 9,25,00,000 

Tuesday - 9,25,00,000 apprx

The total for the second week is now 74 crore nett plus and should be around the 90 crore nett mark for week two. The film is phenomenal in Delhi / UP with business now hitting 50 crore nett and that is despite a tax hike in Delhi city last week to 40% from 20%.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan Is Rock Steady On Second Monday

Bajrangi Bhaijaan remained rock steady on its second Monday with collections likely to be around 9.50 crore nett plus. The general drop is 30% from Friday which would mean a 9 crore nett total but the tax free status is helping in UP and that will give an extra boost as Delhi/UP will end up close to 3 crore nett with a huge contribution from UP.

The collections of PK on Monday were 10 crore nett plus and its unlikely that Bajrangi Bhaijaan will be better. PK second week was in holiday week so what is happenning is the weekday collections are better for PK and weekends are better for Bajrangi Bhaijaan..

The total after 11 days will be 248.75 crore nett and after a similar period P.K was 245.25 crore nett so it still has the edge but by the end of the week it will probably be less as PK got advantage of New Years Day holiday. The film will have actually trended better than PK in the second week but collections will be lower as PK second week was in holiday period.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan Set For Huge Total In Overseas

Bajrangi Bhaijaan will easily close over $20 million in Overseas as its ten day total is $17 million plus. The overseas market can't be judged with a total figure as before with some films releasing in countries like China, South Korea and Japan where most Hindi films won't release.

So the Overseas market becomes a bit like the Indian market which is compared circuit by circuit. Basically it will be interesting to see where Bajrangi Bhaijaan final totals stand against the other biggies like PK and Dhoom 3 in UK, US / Canada, Gulf and Australia. This will give actual idea as to how it has performed against the other films.

The Pakistan market is also almost as big as Australia today but its a different market as a Khoobsurat will gross more than a Humpty Sharma due to local artist and films which are patriotic struggle to release there. The film has also done well in Nepal despite the country suffereing hugely from the earthquakes a few months back. Bajrangi Bhaijaan could even go to the $25 million mark with just a traditional market release. In UK and The Gulf it will cross PK and is chasing the record figures of Dhoom 3 in both circuits.

Bhaijaan has set another record on its second Sunday with the highest collections ever on a second Sunday with collections looking to be around 24 crore nett. It will also be a second weekend record with collections of 55.50 crore nett

PK released last Christmas had grossed 53.40 crore nett in its second weekend with 14.4 crore nett on Friday, 17.10 crore nett on Saturday and 21.90 crore nett on Sunday Here for Bajrangi Bhaijaan the apprx figures are 12.75 crore nett for Friday, 18.75 crore nett on Saturday and 24 crore nett on Sunday. PK was ahead on the Friday but on Saturday and Sunday it has been Bajrangi Bhaijaan in overdrive.


It had looked at the time that PK had set a huge second weekend record which will take long to surpass but it has held for just 7 months. The second week record may be hard to crack for Bajrangi Bhaijaan has PK had a big New Year's Day holiday which gave it an advantage of 6 crore nett. Its hard but impossible and a second week record will be simply phenomenal as its being done without the benefit of a holiday.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan set a new record for business on the second Saturday as it grossed close to 19 crore nett. PK had grossed around 17.25 crore nett on uts secind Saturday. The two day second week business of Bajrangi Bhaijaan is as follows.

TOTAL - 31,50,00,000

The second weekend record is around 53 crore nett and Bajrangi Bhaijaan should be able to beat it as it should gross more than 22 crore nett on Sunday. The film is now the highest Salman Khan starer even with around 214 crore nett in nine days.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan First Tuesday Business

Bajrangi Bhaijaan continued it's strong run on Tuesday with collections around the 21.25 crore nett Mar which takes the total to around 147 crore nett. Kick had grossed 155 crore nett and that will be crossed today. The next two days will tell where it stands against the two biggest first week grossers PK and Dhoom 3.

 The film dropped most in Mumbai on Tuesday but that was because the Monday figures were extraordinary in Mumbai and better than the first day.

 The key now is where the second Friday lands up as that will give an idea as to where the film is going. It is certain to be the third highest grosser ever and the way it is sustaining at the moment anything is possible. 

Bajrangi Bhaijaan Crosses 125 Crore In Four Days

Bajrangi Bhaijaan has had a phenomenal Monday with collections at around 25.50 crore nett. The film is higher than Friday at many mass centres due to it being Pre Eid on Friday while Monday was Post Eid. The Eid holidays continue in these areas for a few days after Eid.

 

The film has grossed over 126 crore nett in four days and will put up a huge first week total. There will be a drop today as ticket rates drop though the Eid factor will continue to help in such places like UP

  

It will on Thursday that everything will be normal and then it's actual weekday level will be know. The film is sure to beat the 155 crore nett first week of Kick and it remains to be seen if it can beat Dhoom 3 at 173 crore nett and PK at 181 crore nett.
